Fillers, also known as dermal fillers or soft tissue fillers, are a minimally invasive injectable that is used to fill in wrinkles, increase volume, and improve facial contours. Fillers are commonly used to fill deep lines around the eyes, brow, or mouth, or to add contour to the lips or jaw. Other common areas for filler injection are the temples and hands. Fillers produce a fuller, more youthful appearance and can be used subtlety – not like the drastic pictures you may have seen on the internet or TV.
Fillers are extremely popular due to their immediate, noticeable results. The procedure is quick and does not require strong anesthetics. Most fillers come with a lidocaine compound to help with numbing, making the treatment easy and painless. After a procedure, there is little to no recovery time. Some patients report minor bruising or swelling around the injection site, which usually subsides one to two days post-treatment.
All our fillers are administered by Dr. Dwight Hiscox. His 13 years of experience as well as his background as an anesthesiologist make the treatment very easy and painless for his patients. He also performs consultations for those interested in fillers, during which he can help evaluate your desired results and which fillers will work the best for you.
All of our fillers are hyaluronic acid-based fillers. With the exception of Radiesse, this means that should you be dissatisfied with your results, the treatment can be reversed with the use of a hyaluronidase compound. We are happy to offer filler-reversal treatments to those not treated in our office as well.
